Recreation ~ Snowboarding ~ Okemo Mountain

A complete riding experience for shredders of any level, Okemo fully welcomes guests with its Snowboard Zone, complete with two pipes and three parks. "The Park," the resort's newest snowboard park, features a wide variety of spines and hits, all serviced by "The Pull" surface lift devoted exclusively to snowboarders and snowbladers. With this dedicated access, you'll spend most of the day riding - not hiking or waiting in lift lines. "The Park" includes terrain targeted at the more advanced rider with large table tops, bigger hits, rails and a quarter pipe.

"Pipe Down," a 380'-plus halfpipe, is located on the lower Black Out Trail. Conveniently situated adjacent to "The Pull" and under the Black Ridge Triple chairlift, this halfpipe runs parallel to both "The Park" and "The Superpipe," adding even greater diversity and expanse to the Snowboard Zone. Okemo's first snowboard park, "The Zone," on lower Sel's Choice, continues to house the "The Superpipe," a massive 400' x 55' x 17' championship halfpipe that boats huge walls and an ultra-smooth transition, along with another quarter pipe. At the base of the Snowboard Zone is "The Yurt," an alpine tent and deck for hanging out or warming up. In addition to providing a respite from shredding, "The Yurt" features video playback, a sound system and snacks. No need to worry about conditions in Okemo's snowboard parks either, because at night, the resort's front-mounted Pipe Dragon insures that the pipes are cut to perfection every time.
